From what I have done this semester I would say that the oil pastes egg project came out on top this year. I see it as one of the projects that came out on top for what I have accomplished. It is in its own league. It was the second oil pastel project of this semester so I guess the practice came from the first one. It was supposed to have cool colors as the eggs and warm colors as the background. That did not happen in the end. I do not know what happen for it to change but, it did and I am happy that it happened. It is unique for how it turned out in the end. So I feel that it as the best one out of them all for how it came out in the end for what it was supposed to be.

The Pen project is what I feel was less successful. In my opinion need to be darker and I need more time. We rushed over to the next project so I felt that I need to speed up so I did not fall behind. So I think it as my weakest point of this semester. Some parts came out so uneven and looks bad in general. It was the first project for this semester so it was a bad start for me. Live and learn then for I probability just need to be faster next time. That and we needed to as so have five other pen arts done.
Being able to use white and black charcoal where our mini lessons for seeing which of the two are easier to use. I find that the white charcoal is better to use for it being better to create better light sources then with the black. Black charcoal can create textures and as more values than White charcoal. For me I like the white charcoal better for it is less mess and easier to control the flow of the work than with the other way. For our final project we used both and I found the black charcoal easier to use for the project was to create the lights and dark's in the sheets that was up. It was a very long project for how much time is needed to complete it. I disliked the project but enjoyed the mini ones for they were not as time consuming as its final. If we have a smaller project for this unit the end result could of been different.

The pencil shading art is what I feel are the ones I mostly improved in. The kiss chocolate in four different stages on it being unwrapped and having group of objects together while adding shades. Doing the group of objects together was the trickier one out of the two for having shadows over shadows to shade in. For the kiss I only needed the candy and a line to show that it is not floating in the air. The one that I like the most from the two is the stages of the kiss being opened. Even though I like the flow of the group of objects I feel that the kiss project is better than the group. Most of the art I do is in pencil and there is shading so being able to make the darks and lights relay pop is a big help for me. I hoped we could of had more shading projects instead of the two but, you can only get so much in the end. Out of all the mediums we have used the one I like the most is prismacolor pencils. I always do great with them when it does not involve with people. I did tow dum-dum candy and they turned out great but, this one of the two came out better. For the lights on the candy pop out better than the second one.The gel pens really help on getting the highlights out of the wrapper. Even though it was my first time using a gel pen it did what i need to get done.It really changes the effect of how the art pops off the page. I wished I could of gotten the darks on the candy better on the first one than the second one.
