The start of the class was to test our skills so we sketched out the classroom and of our hand. We used pencil and without letting the pencil off the page a corner of the room the pen did not come out dark enough to see the smaller details but it was dark enough for you to see the room. The hand did not turn out well but it works with getting the cartoon type of style.
Our contour drawings were of what we have in the classroom. Drawing a corner of the room and our hand was a warm up for the final part that are the instruments. I did not like doing the this because I like to be able to erase and redraw if there is a mistake. Not being able to correct them made it very frustrating. I know it is to help me improve but I still do not like this style. The one I liked the most out of all our drawings would of been the final drawing due to being one of the better ones that can out of this subject.
The ribbon and fabric project with white caroler. I liked using the white caroler was interacting. It was easier to use it for smaller pieces of art. It takes to long to use it for bigger projects. You would need a lot of time in order to finish using this style. If we had more time I would of liked to finish this project but there was not enough time to color in everything. Shading in the fabric with the black caroler did not take a long as the white caroler did.
Our prorogation project was OK. It got hard and complicated the further it went along. I do think that this project could of turn out better. Trying to get the lights and dark of shine wrapping paper was more difficult than I thought it would be. The candy's shading was easier to get then the wrapper. It fell repetitive having to draw it over again but different at the same time. As you slowly unwrap the chocolate from it's shiny prison to be eaten in the end.
The close-up perspective project was the hardest project I have done so far. Trying to get even shading out onto the page and the smearing of the lead when my hand hits the paper. We had a lot of time to work on this project but it was worth it in the end. I wished I had did parts here and there better but, it makes it look more unique in the end. Looks like I need to improve my shading skills some more.
For the prospective project I had to chose from two ideas. I liked both ideas but only one could've been used as the final piece. I finished shading in both of them in order to decide which one would be the most interacting one to work on. In the end I chose to do the one with the foot in it. I wanted to draw a person walking away for this one.
I enjoyed this project we have used a different type of oil pastel and they were easier to use then the old ones. I liked how the end product came out to be, but not happy with how my fingerprints are on the page from smearing/ blinding of the colors together. Then there are parts that i wished that did not blind together. I like how I got the wrapper like design to work somewhat. Where the light hits the wrapper is the best part of this piece.
Our Easter theme project was such a delight. Warm to cool colors all around one end to another was the crown. From light to dark sides of them all is there opposition to uphold. That it is a sight to behold. For now it is spring and light shines down once more.
Color pastels pencils now in play. To give a treat to one and all. A charry for you that was hard to draw. With gel pen in hand to show more white now flows. Followed by shadows that form outside. To make it show that it is there a nice treat for me and you.
Our see through project was a success. Of bottles with messages begin pulled to and told. To see the inside of someone soul that letter. Prisma colors used to create flow of what is to come. For nature helps show the season, weather, and time of day.
Our self portrait's in zombie mode. We used pastel color pencils for this project. I am a little sad about how it came it as but, also happy for I have a cartoon drawing style so I do not want to think too much about it. I love how the shirt came out with the blending of the colors with some of the light reflecting off the hair. Over all that is my opinion on this project I wish this turned out a little better but what done is done.
Scratch art is a one of a kind style it was my first time using a scratch board. Once I finally got the hang of it I started and I kept on going. Trying to evenly place out the outline of the shapes was difficult for if you move the scraper wrong it could destroy the figure you are after. There is no color it is just reflecting off my shirt and skin color onto the board. I found it somewhat repetitive but, I like how it turned out in the end. I wish though that I had more of a lesson on how to use a scratch board would of been helpful so it would not have been trial and error on multiple boards to get it somewhat down.
